9. Weather & Operational Disruption Policy

Safety-First Flying Protocol: High-altitude Himalayan helicopter flights operate strictly under Visual Flight Rules (VFR) and are dependent on real-time weather clearance, mountain visibility, and DGCA air safety guidelines. In the event of adverse weather, mountain fog, or technical delays, flights operate as soon as the airspace is cleared by aviation authorities.

Un-Flown Sector Settlements: If any helicopter sector is cancelled entirely due to inclement weather or government airspace restrictions, Ghumo Firoo organizes alternative private road transportation where logistically possible. If a sector cannot be flown and no alternate service is used, refund is calculated strictly on a pro-rata basis for un-flown helicopter flying hours as determined by the aviation operator, minus actual utilized hotel nights and administrative costs.

10. Frequently Asked Questions

What is the maximum passenger weight and baggage limit? Due to high-altitude helicopter payload regulations, passengers weighing over 75–80 kg may attract a surcharge or require special seat balancing. Baggage is strictly restricted to one soft duffle bag of maximum 5 kg per passenger. Hard suitcases and trolleys are not permitted in helicopter cargo bays and can be stored safely at our Dehradun base.

How does VIP Darshan assistance work? Our local temple coordinators receive you at each helipad and guide you through priority queue arrangements sanctioned by the temple committees (BKTC), ensuring senior citizens and families complete Darshan with maximum peace and minimal wait times.

Is biometric yatra registration mandatory? Yes. Uttarakhand state regulations require all pilgrims to complete biometric verification. Our operations desk completes this process on your behalf prior to departure.
